Chicago bathroom remodeling

Water pressure and mixing valves

A shower that turns hot when a faucet runs elsewhere needs a pressure-balanced or thermostatic valve, not more water pressure.

Plumbing and rough-in on one of our Chicago jobs

Why this is worth doing properly

Moving water is what decides a bathroom layout. Plumbing is carried out by a licensed plumbing contractor working to our schedule, so the trades follow each other instead of waiting on each other.

What you get from us

  • 01

The wet area is waterproofed as an assembly

A bonded membrane covers the wet area. Every corner, fastener and pipe is sealed, then the assembly is flood tested before tile goes on.

  • 02

You see what was behind the old tile

If we find rot, a notched joist or an old leak, you get photos and a written price before we cover anything up.

  • 03

    One crew, start to finish

The same crew handles the job from demolition to final silicone. Separately licensed plumbing and electrical contractors work on our coordinated schedule.

  • 04

    Small jobs are welcome

One vanity, one leaking shower or a set of new fixtures. We quote the smaller jobs many remodelers pass over, with the same care as a full gut.
